Supervision

Congratulations!

If you are seeking a supervisor, that means you have put in the hard work to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. Supervision is the most important part of your new journey as a LPC Associate. It is imperative that you find a supervisor who is cohesive with you and your vision as a new professional.

My approach to supervision is a journey that we will both embark on. As your supervisor, I will help you develop your skills, encourage you to be your best self as a therapist and guide you through the new experiences of being a counselor. I strive to provide a safe and encouraging environment to help you grow and gain strength in your new profession, just as my supervisor did for me.

Although the progress in the counseling field is new and exciting, I will only supervise those Associates who seek to focus on building their career, clinical skills and experiences under the guidance of other's who have already established a private practice and/or within an agency. As a supervisor, I choose to dedicate our time together focusing on the essentials of being a therapist, rather than a business coach. If private practice is a future goal, I am happy to explore this once you are closer to completing your hours.

My specialties include:

  • Children, Adolescents, and Adults

  • Agency work and private practice

  • Trauma, Behavioral issues, Attachment, and Relationships

  • Disorders such as ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar, and Borderline Personality Disorder.

  • Crisis Management/ suicide intervention

  • Court testimony

  • TF-CBT, Existential and DBT skills

  • Ethics and Board Rules

My services as a supervisor will include:

  • Weekly supervision that may include-

    • Individual supervision

    • Group supervision

  • Feedback and guidance on counseling techniques, application of theories, case conceptualization, differential diagnosis, and ethics

  • Review of case notes and other documentation and/or recorded client sessions, as feasible and appropriate.

  • Case analysis and treatment planning

  • Phone or email consultation for emergency or time sensitive situations or events

  • Guidance on the LPC board rules

  • Opportunity to see private clients through Rise Up Counseling, PLLC

If you believe that we might be a good fit, our first step will be to have a face-to-face consultation free of charge to get to know each other better. Please contact me for further inquiries or if you would like to set up our first meeting.

My fees for supervision will be a flat rate of $300 due on the first of every month. This fee will include all services mentioned above.

I look forward to answering more questions and getting to know you. Once again, congratulations on your chosen career path!
