I hold a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Family and Child Development. I am a National Board-Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. I am supervised by Britney Watson Eglinton, MS, LPC-S.
I specialize in working with adults and adolescents who are struggling with symptoms of trauma, depression, anxiety, thinking disorders, relationship problems, impulsive anger, and communication issues. My counseling approach can be considered eclectic and holistic. I pull a lot from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and EMDR, and enjoy utilizing somatic experiencing (going to the body) and mindfulness with my clients. If you have found that your past therapists felt "cold" or they didn't give you genuine human reactions to your life experiences, I might be a good fit for you. Genuine human connection is the recipe for the start of great therapy!
In therapy sessions, I hope to aide you in gaining insight about your inner world so that we can work together towards finding solutions. Through empathy and curiosity, I will encourage you to reach your goals of a happier, more fulfilling life, whatever that might mean to you.
If you are struggling, you are not alone! Whether you are seeking help in dealing with symptoms of trauma, a behavioral change, relationship problems, or simply needing extra support for your mental health, I am here to help guide you. I would feel honored to be invited into your world.
I am currently offering online counseling sessions to all Texas Residents. Please feel free to contact me for further information!
